About Me

I began my career in care in 1993 as a volunteer with the Mencap Homes Foundation. My commitment and passion for supporting others quickly led to a full-time care worker role.

In 2000, I transitioned to the role of Registered Manager at a residential home operated by the Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID). Three years later, I joined The Fire Fighters Charity, where I managed a recuperation centre dedicated to the wellbeing of serving and retired firefighters.

Subsequently, I served as Director of Care for a Specialist Trust, overseeing high-quality care services and strategic development. Building on this experience, I went on to establish my own consultancy, offering support and guidance to care sector professionals across various settings.

I sit as chair and panel member on the Football Associations National Safeguarding Panel alongside The FA’s National Serious Case Panel and Appeal Board.

My Regulation 44 and standard 3 visits provide professional challenge to ensure robust cohesion to the Children’s Home Regulations 2018 and the Residential Special School National Minimum Standards 2022.
